Conteur

After been 3 years at service for breeding station Celle, Conteur is back at Tannenhof to work intensively at his career. And his career is obviously very successful. Under the saddle of Anja Plönzke, he obtained several qualifications at inter I. In 2005, he made waves as a producer with his licensed son Con Amore in Verden. Con Amore has been sold as a premium stallion at the auction to Brookhouse Stud for the amount of 190.000 €!
And then came 2006!! The definitive confirmation of what we already said at his licensing in Holstein : “This stallion is not only a great sport horse but also a quality producer!” Six sons have been selected for the licensing in Hanover, five of them have been licensed and Curator has obtained the title of vice champion. Afterwards Curator has been sold at the auction to Emma Hindle of Brookhouse Stud for the amount of 300.000 €. Conteur shows a uniform pack of children, dark of coat, modern lines, good gaits and jumping capacities.
His off-spring knew to convince whole Germany. At the last championship at Tannenhof, one of his daughters obtained the reserve title. His firs off-spring are staring their careers as we speak. He was himself premium stallion at the 2000 licensing and is gifted with all capacities.
He combines three fascinating gaits with capital jumping capacities. He’s truly a typical son of the already legendary Contender. His mother Ofarim is the daughter of the successfully sport horse Rasputin, who is narrowly inbred to the stallion Ramses. With the hard and iron strong thoroughbred Tin Rod xx and yet one again Ramses in the fourth generation, his bloodline is assured of being very well bred for performing.
All together, the top breeding sire Ramses, is presented four in his pedigree. He always played a very important role in line 104a, same line to who Conteur belongs. Line 104a is the most famous lines of Holstein. Conteur is not a product of hazard! His mother Ofarim is the grandmother of stallions as Contendro I and II and Caretano. Conteur’s mother has given birth to other licensed stallions. Conteur has proven himself in his yet short career. In 2001 he won the 30-day test en ended the 70-day test as reserve winner of the year, where his score for rideability was remarkably higher than for the other competitors. As a young stallion, he won several times dressage competitions for young dressage horses and was finalist at the German championship for 3 year old stallions in 2001. In 2002, he ended at the fourth place in the finale for the German championship with a monster score of 9,5 for his canter. His actual successes prove that the high expectations for his sport career are more than justified and his off-spring shows already that he is on the way to become an important stallion for breeding!
